In the wake of the School Report Cards, proposed “virtual charter schools,” and concern
about the “school to prison pipeline,” what options exist and how do we evaluate them?
Possible questions:
• Charters—Do they work? For whom? What value do they add?
• DPI can support only so many schools. How can we justify sharing public funds?

The Raleigh-Wake Branch will reserve a table at the annual Women NC Forum, at which student delegates to the UN Council on the Status of Women are introduced & funds are raised for their participation in a conference on generating global policy that advocates for women’s interests.
Cost: $50 per person (includes reception & choice of dinner entrée. Cash bar, raffle additional.)
